Will waste collection improve in at least two Lagos LGAs by October 16?

Resolution

No. Widespread measurable improvement in waste collection was not recorded across Lagos LGAs by October 16, 2026. Instead, reports from that exact period highlight a worsening refuse crisis across the metropolis. Areas such as Mushin, Oshodi, Surulere, and Egbeda have faced significant collection delays, with waste left uncollected for weeks. The Lagos State Government openly acknowledged these widespread collection failures and operational bottlenecks.
